After many years of developing software and providing support for clients using propretary GIS software, Groundtruth is now developing solutions using a range of powerful open source tools.
First in a range of solutions to be developed for local government is Sweeping Plains, a web map application for municipalities to share valuable information about council services, facilities, community resources and areas of interest with residents, ratepayers and visitors. It uses the powerful OpenLayers JavaScript library, and was developed with the help of LISAsoft, Code Engineering and XoomCode, support providers for open source geospatial applications.
Secondly, Groundtruth is working on PlaceLab, a geospatial processing applicaiton to process, analyse, transform and export your organisation's spatial and aspatial data.
As well as custom development, Groundtruth also provides support for PostGIS, GeoServer, OpenLayers and GeoExt, collectively known as the OpenGeo Suite.
Below you'll find all the various applications and other resources discussed in Simon's open source presentation from the Victorian Spatial Summit & Surveying Expo 2009 titled 'Introduction to Free and Open Source Geospatial Software'.
