Redraw! runs as a scheduled task on your server to automatically update map layers from various data sources, including SQL Server views and tables, Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, and other standard database formats.
The application links any spatial map layer such as property boundaries to any ‘aspatial’ data source such as the council’s rates database to create a map layer that contains all the attributes from the database.
The map output layers are compatible with the council’s networked GIS as well as portable systems on laptops and PDAs, allowing staff to have remote access to information already been gathered from the council’s databases.
Users clicking on a single property in the GIS for instance will be able to instantly view ratepayer information, animal registration details, planning permits, building permits, local laws permits, septic tank information and any other information contained in any number of databases across the council, all from within the GIS.
